We’re excited to share some gardening news from Horwood House! 20 new apple trees have just been planted, marking a beautiful revival of our property’s orchard heritage. These trees, thoughtfully selected from four distinct varieties as a living tribute to the orchard that once flourished on this land.
With each tree we plant, we’re not only honoring the past but also investing in a delicious future. Over the coming years, we anticipate the moment when these trees will bear their fruits. Our culinary team is already dreaming up ways to showcase these homegrown apples, from freshly baked pies to creative dishes that highlight the crisp, sweet flavors of the season.
As these trees settle in and start to grow, we’re hoping they’ll become a much-loved part of the garden—bringing a bit of the past back to life and adding something really special for the future. It’s all part of our effort to stay connected to the land and keep things sustainable. We’re genuinely excited to see them flourish and even more excited to share the apples (and maybe a few crumbles!) with you down the line.
