At Horwood House, giving back to our community has always been close to our hearts. That’s why we’re delighted to announce our new Corporate Platinum Partnership with Willen Hospice, a local charity providing vital care and support for adults with life-limiting illnesses across Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas.
Willen Hospice relies on raising £9.6 million each year to provide its services free of charge. Over the years, we’ve been inspired by the difference they make in people’s lives, and this partnership allows us to strengthen our support even further, not just through fundraising, but by actively engaging with the hospice and the wider community.
We began our partnership by hosting a celebratory Afternoon Tea at Horwood House for the 23 incredible supporters who completed the Everest Base Camp trek, raising over £55,000 for the hospice. It was a joyful occasion to celebrate their achievement, reflect on their journey, and acknowledge the life-changing impact their efforts will have.
Over the coming year, our team will be involved in a variety of initiatives to support Willen Hospice:
- Filling Christmas gift shoeboxes for patients, with special treats created by our chefs.
- Supporting the Midnight Moo event in June 2026, handing out granola bars to participants.
- Donating a luxury spa experience to the hospice’s annual Gala Dinner auction.
Our General Manager, Caroline Morrone, said:
"We are incredibly proud to partner with Willen Hospice in this meaningful way. Our team is committed to supporting the hospice’s life-changing work, and we look forward to engaging with the local community through this partnership over the next year and beyond. Together, we hope to make a real difference for those who need it most."
Becoming a Platinum Partner is a natural next step in our ongoing relationship with Willen Hospice, and we’re excited to see the positive impact we can make together. Supporting our community is at the heart of what we do at Horwood House, and we can’t wait to continue this journey alongside such an inspiring charity.
